29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one-eighth inch:    (a) On or about 03/19/2014 - Prefab area, employees were operating a Hammond bench-mounted grinder, Model No. 5180K, that had the work rest adjusted one-half inch from the wheel.    Southern Metal Fabricators, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314955709 (375920), citation number 1, item number 9a and was affirmed as a final order on 05/18/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 1215 Frazier Road, Albertville, AL 35950.

29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one-fourth inch:  (a) On or about 03/19/2014 - Shop area, employees were operating a Hammond bench-mounted grinder, Model No. 5180K, that had the tongue guard adjusted one inch from the wheel.  Southern Metal Fabricators, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314955709 (375920), citation number 1, item number 9b and was affirmed as a final order on 05/18/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 1215 Frazier Road, Albertville, AL 35950.
