29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i) The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program were understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls were acquired by employees. a) On or about March 18, 2014, in the workplace: The employer had not conducted training in the energy control program of the facility for Maintenance employees engaged in lockout procedures. Employees were responsible for conducting periodic assessments of the quality of the energy control program but had not received formal training. Lockout is performed on equipment that includes but is not limited to Milnor EP Plus Washing Machines rated at 240 Volts and 30 Amps. Abatement certification is required for this item.
