29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) On March 21, 2014, the employer did not ensure that the eye wash stations located at the battery charging area and the utility room adjacent to the truck wash area, were fully operation and suitable for immediate emergency usage. Employees were exposed to serious injuries to the eyes and face as a result of the battery acids and other corrosive materials in their immediate work areas. Abatement certification is required for this item; use the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET for this purpose.
