29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1)(vi): Each employee performing overhand bricklaying operations from a supported scaffold was not protected from falling from all open sides and ends of the scaffold (except at the side next to the wall being laid) by the use of a personal fall arrest system or guardrail system (with minimum 200 pound toprail capacity). (a) Regupol America Expansion - Employees working from a supported scaffold were exposed to a fall of seventeen feet (17') to the ground below. The men were performing overhand bricklaying operations to construct the outer walls of the building, a twenty foot (20') wide opening for the connecting corridor was not guarded and presented a falling hazard for the employees to the front, on or about March 19, 2014. No abatement certification or documentation required.
