Accumulations of saw dust was present on the horizontal surfaces such as electrical boxes and conduit. The dust was generated from cutting wood/MDF and was found to be explosive. Condition observed on or about 4/16/2014.

29 CFR 1910.95(g)(6): At least annually after obtaining the baseline audiogram, the employer did not obtain a new audiogram for each employee exposed at or above an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels : a) Wood and Metal Shop, 50-52 Metro Way, Secaucus, NJ 07094. The employer failed to provide annual audiograms for a carpenter working in the woodshop that was exposed to continuous noise at 74.45% of the permissible exposure limit (PEL) eight hour time-weighted average sound level of 90 dBA which is 0.74 times the allowable exposure limit. The action level is 85 dBA. The equivalent sound levels of the measured dose is 87.9 dBA. Sampling was performed for 446 minutes on 4/16/2014, with the unsampled portion of time considered to represent zero for the exposure calculation. Condition observed on or about 4/16/2014.

Condition observed on or about 4/16/2014. Kadan Productions, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314442179, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on 8/11/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 3200 Liberty Ave #3, North Bergen, NJ 07047.
