29 CFR 1910.176(b): Storage was not secure. Storage of material shall not create a hazard. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse. a) At the time of the inspection, storage of dies in the new building created a collapse hazard. Racks that had been rated at 2960 pounds maximum in a report dated July 31, 2013 were found to be overloaded. Actual weights on two rack shelves were 4235 and 5727 pounds. b) At the time of the inspection, dies were stacked on a die stand in the hot press area and the weight of the dies exceeded the rated capacity of the die stand. The rated capacity was determined to be 7,500 pounds and the actuasl weight of the dies was 8,160 pounds. Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this violation. The documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable measurements or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be helpful. The abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citations
