29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) On or about March 12, 2014, and at times prior, two workers without fall protection were exposed to falling 10 feet from the second story deck to ground level. Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet). Kancor Construction, Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 924213, citation number 01, item number 001, and was affirmed as a final order on September 18, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 4201 Commons Drive West, Destin, Florida 32514.
