29 CFR 1910.179(i): Crane(s) equipped with a power traveling mechanism were not provided with a gong or other effective warning signal: On or about March 26, 2014, and at times prior to, in the shear area an overhead crane was operated by a remote control device to lift heavy steel parts was not provided with the means (audible alarm or strobe light) to warn employees working in the areas when the cranes were on the move. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards.

This prevents employees from shutting off equipment immediately in case of emergency. Employees were exposed to electrical, amputation and struck by hazards.
