29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a.) Brown Industrial, Inc. located at 311 W. South St. Botkins, OH 45306; On or about March 27, 2014, the employer did not assure employees were protected while using the Cincinnati shear. Employees are required to use the Cincinnati shear to trim metal pieces and are exposed to crushing hazards from the stompers that hold down the metal.

South St. Botkins, OH 45306; The employer did not assure employees were protected while using the Cincinnati shear. Employees are required to use the Cincinnati shear to cut metal parts and are exposed to amputation hazards at the point of operation. Brown Industrial, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313788879, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on January 26, 2012 with respect to a workplace located at 311 W. South St. Botkins, OH 45306. Per ISA instance B deleted
