29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: Employees performing roofing activities were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 14 feet and the employer did not ensure that a suitable fall protection system was utilized. THE SMITH GENERAL CONTRACTING INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 747621, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 2a AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON DECEMBER 26, 2012, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 4305 W WASHINGTON STREET, SPRINGFIELD, IL 62711. THE SMITH GENERAL CONTRACTING INC.
