29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1)(i): Select, and have each affected employee use, the types of PPE that will protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment;    (a)  On or about January 31, 2014 employees in the Plating Department were exposed to chemical burns while working with a hydrochloric acid solution and the employer's hazard assessment did not identify all the hazards associated with hydrochloric acid.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:    (a)  On or about January 31, 2014 employees in the Plating Dept. were exposed to chemical burns while working with a hydrochloric acid solution and the employer's Hazard Communication training did not provide adequate information on the hazardous chemicals in the work area.
