29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: On or about 03/20/14, at Caribbean Petroleum, Inc., St. Thomas, VI. The employer did not develop a written hazard communication program when employees used and/or handled products as follows: a. At the containment area. Employees used and/or handled corrosive products such as Zep Industrial Purple Cleaner and Degreaser Concentrate (sodium hydroxide) during fuel trucks and containment area floor maintenance operations. b. At the fuel service area. Employees used and/or handled gasoline and diesel during fuel delivery and for trucks service operations. c. At the mechanic shop area. Employees used and/or handled compressed gases such as propane (LPG) when replacing empty tanks with full ones during Toyota forklift maintenance operations. NOTE: Certification of abatement must be submitted for his citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
