29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about April 2, 2014 at the Keeler BMW automobile dealership at 1111 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham, NY 12110 a worker involved in construction work on the roof of the dealership was exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 6 feet above a lower level. The worker was not protected from the fall hazard by any of the following: guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.
