29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided: a- 337 Front Street, Elmer NJ: Employees, not supplied with fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 12 feet to the ground surface below when performing metal roof sheeting installation and other related activities from a commercial building's roof with a pitch of approximately 2 on 12. Condition observed on or about 04/02/14. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii) a- 337 Front Street, Elmer NJ: Employees, not supplied with fall protection, were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 12 feet to the ground surface below when performing metal roof sheeting installation and other related activities from a commercial building's roof with a pitch of approximately 2 on 12. Exposed employees had not received any fall protection training from the company. Condition observed on or about 04/02/14. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.
