29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) for the company doing business as RL James Inc., General Contractor located at Royal Palms Retirement Center 2500 Aaron St. Port Charlotte (FL). Employees were using a swing stage scaffold to access balconies for performing concrete chipping and sawing operations at approximately 35 feet high were exposed to falls when leaving the swing stage scaffold near the end of the scaffold were located, as observed on or about 04/03/2014. (b) for the company doing business as RL James Inc., General Contractor located at Royal Palms Retirement Center 2500 Aaron St. Port Charlotte (FL). Employees were performing concrete chipping and sawing operations on balconies approximately 35 feet high near unguarded windows, as observed on or about 04/03/2014.
