29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operators and other employees from hazards created by ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a)StickerGiant.com, Inc. at 11755 N. 75th St., Longmont, CO 80503: On and before April 3rd, 2014, the employer did not ensure that machines were provided with guards to protect operators and other employees from hazards created by rotating parts and ingoing nip points. One or more methods of machine guarding such as barrier guards, two-hand tripping device, electronic safety devices, were not provided to prevent employees from having any part of their body in the danger zone while a rotating conveyer on the output side of the GHL Packaging (shrink wrap) machine was in operation. This condition exposed the employees in the printing room to injuries caused by unprotected rotating parts and ingoing nip points.
