29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided: (a) German Lopez, 211 E. Lake St., Fort Collins, CO 80524: On or before April 7, 2014, the employer did not ensure each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, a safety net system, or personal fall arrest system in that two employees were engaged in tearing off an old roof and applying new sheeting on the roof of a single family residential home. This condition exposed the employees to a fall hazard of 10.5 feet.
