29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (This citation is applicable to construction work under 29 CFR 1926.59) The employer is failing to protect employees from potential chemical exposure hazards associated with not conducting required HAZCOM training. The employer has employee(s) dispensing #2 diesel while not having been formally trained in accordance with the requirements of this subpart. Employees are also cutting concrete that is creating dust containing silica. Employees have not been trained on the hazards of cutting concrete and the subsequent dust cloud that can contain respirable silica dust.
