29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iii)(A)(2)(i): During use, containers for contaminated sharps were not easily accessible to personnel or located as close as was feasible to the immediate area where sharps were used or could be reasonably anticipated to be found: (a) On or about 4/14/14, there were no containers for contaminated sharps in any of the 16 operatories, resulting in employees' having to carry contaminated sharps on trays to the sterilization room. Dental Dreams LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iii)(A)(2)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 312980782, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/15/2010, with respect to a workplace located at 2180 MacArthur Rd, Whitehall PA. In the alternative 29CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iii)(A)(1): Contaminated sharps were not discarded immediately or as soon as practicable in containers that meet the requirements of (I) through (iv). On or about 4/14/14, to the extent that there were sharps containers in any of the operatories, employees did not use them and instead carried contaminated sharps on trays to the sterilization rooms.
