29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a. On or about April 24, 2014, at the welding department of the above addressed worksite, an employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a lathe (i.e. Cincinnatti, Hydrashift) that lacked a guard on its point of operation. b. On or about April 22, 2014, at the welding department of the above addressed worksite, an employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a drill press (i.e. Powermatic, Model 1200) that lacked a guard on its point of operation. c. On or about April 21, 2014, at the welding department of the above addressed worksite, an employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a drill press (i.e. Westward, No. 1KEK-3) that lacked a guard on its point of operation. d. On or about April 24, 2014, at the assembly area of the above addressed worksite, an employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a drill press (i.e. Daytona, Model NBR, Serial #1053079) that lacked a guard on its point of operation. e. On or about April 24, 2014, at the assembly area of the above addressed worksite, an employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a drill press (i.e. Delta, Model 11-990, Serial No. W9729) that lacked a guard on its point of operation. f. On or about April 24, 2014, at the assembly area of the above addressed worksite, an employee was exposed to a caught by hazard while working with a drill press (i.e. Central, Model S-987) that lacked a guard on its point of operation.
