29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1): Open-sided floors and/or platforms four feet or more above adjacent floor or ground level were not guarded with standard railings (or equivalent) and toeboards: Employees were exposed to fall hazards while removing an air conditioning unit and structural steel from a platform located in the Old Margarine Cooler and the end of the platform was not guarded by a standard railing or its equivalent. The open sided platform was approximately 16 feet above the concrete surface below.
