OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck and or crushed by vehicles:   a)  On or about April 12, 2014, at 2211 Loganville Hwy., Grayson, GA - An employee was struck by a  vehicle that was driven by a customer out from the conveyor area of the automatic car wash to the detailing area/canopy.  The customer's foot had slipped off the brake and the car hit another vehicle while an employee was cleaning the rear bumper of that vehicle.  As a result of accident the employee cleaning the rear bumper of the vehicle sustained internal injuries (some pain to right and left upper abdomen).  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
