29 CFR 1926.554(a)(6): All overhead hoists in use shall meet the applicable requirements for construction, design, installation, testing, inspection, maintenance, and operation, as prescribed by the manufacturer. (a) On or about 04/08/14, at the Hilton Garden Inn, under renovation, located on 159 East Main Street, in Rochester, New York, a hoist located on the 4th floor had been used without inspecting the hook assembly to identify the missing gate or safety latch. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
