29 CFR 1910.95(g)(5)(i): The employer did not establish, within 6 months of an employee's first exposure at or above the action level, a valid baseline audiogram against which subsequent audiograms can be compared:  a) Mill, an employee operating the edger was exposed to noise levels above 85 decibels (dBA), while operating the machine.  An extrapolated full shift noise level at the edger is approximately 94.6% of the allowable 8-hour time weighted sound level of 90 decibels (dBA).  The equivalent dBA level of 94.6% is approximately 89.6 dBA, and is representative of this employee's 8-hour time -weighted average.  The employer did not establish the employee's baseline audiogram, on or about June 25, 2014.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1910.95(d)(1)(i): When information indicated that any employee's exposure may equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels, the employer did not perform sound level monitoring to determine exposure levels:  a) Mill, an employee operating the edger was exposed to noise levels of 89.6 decibels (dBA) as an 8-hour time-weighted average and no sound level monitoring was conducted, on or about June 25, 2014.  ABATEMENT OBSERVED DURING INSPECTION - NO CERTIFICATION EQUIRED
