29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: Second Floor, Bulk Packhouse: 1) Piston pinchpoints created by four labeling machines of a bag packout frozen line and two bag packout fresh lines were not guarded. First Floor, Line 1 2) A conveyor belt and sprocket pinchpoint on the cup packout #1 line was not guarded. 3) A rotating shaft and a conveyor belt and roller pinchpoint near the line 1 metal detector after the Hartness machine were not guarded. The Blount Seafood Corporation DBA Blount Fine Foods was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29CFR1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 316372275, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 5-21-12, with respect to a workplace located at 630 Currant Road, Fall River, Ma. 02720.
