29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms or service rooms were not kept clean and orderly or in a sanitary condition. On or about April 24, 2014, the facility had multiple areas where passageways and service rooms were not maintained in an orderly manner which may result in obstruction and injury during routine maneuvering and emergency evacuation within the space. Instance A) Scales in the clinic are not visually designated or guarded by handrails and are not installed at grade level. The location of scales in the passageways presents a tripping and obstruction hazard to employees. Instance B) The layout and furnishings in triage rooms, exam rooms and pharmacist offices is not consistent and contributes to tripping, obstruction and injury during routine maneuvering and emergency evacuation from the spaces. Furnishings found to contribute to the hazard included chairs without proper access, trash cans, file storage and other temporary items. Instance C) The space and furnishings in triage rooms, exam rooms and pharmacist offices is not consistent and does not accommodate wheelchair access and egress.
