29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 4/24/14, on the flat roof of the Save-A-Lot building under renovation at 4271 Lake Ave., Blasdell, NY: An employee doing HVAC work was exposed to a potential fall of 8 ft. 6 in. from the upper roof to the lower roof. No fall protection system was utilized. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
