29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13): The top or top step of a stepladder was used as a step: a) On or about 4/28/14, outside building at 279 Pearl St.,Buffalo, NY: An employee doing repair/installation work on an overhead roll-up door, was exposed to a fall of approx. 7 ft. while straddling the top of an 8 ft. stepladder with his right foot on the top step (ie. the first step below the very top of the stepladder), and his left foot on the top horizontal crossmember on the backside of the ladder. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
