29 CFR 1926.602(a)(9)(i): Bidirectional machine(s) were not equipped with an operable horn, distinguishable from the surrounding noise level, which could be operated as needed when the machine is moving in either direction. At this job site, employees instructed to utilize a Caterpillar 938F, to spread out soil, was not equipped with a working back up alarm or an observer to signal the operator in a traffic area.
