29 CFR 1926.503(a)(2)(iii): The employer did not assure that each employee has been trained, as necessary, by a competent person in the use and operation of guardrail systems, safety net systems, warning line systems, safety monitoring systems, controlled access zones, and other protection to be used: a) Porch Roof - An employee worked on the 8-10 foot high porch roof without using any type of fall protection and the Foreman was not aware they needed fall protection on a roof at this height. This condition exposed the employee to a serious hazard, observed on or about 3-13-14. Abatement certification required.
