29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by points of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, or flying chips and sparks:      (a) On or about May 1st, 2014, employees were exposed to possible finger or hand injuries, including amputations, while working with and around the OxyDry Sheeters (Press 1 and Press 9) due to unguarded belts and pulleys (in-running nip points) across the open tops of the machines and parallel rotating cam-type shafts (containing nips at each cam's point of operation) arrayed slightly below the belts and pulleys.
