29 CFR 1926.25(a): During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs, form and scrap lumber with protruding nails, and all other debris, were not kept cleared from work areas, passageways, and stairs, in and around buildings or other structures. On or about April 29, 2014, the employer did not ensure all work areas in and around the building were kept clear of debris and lumber with protruding nails, exposing employees to impalement, trips, and fall hazards.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. On or about April 29, 2014, the employer did not ensure employees framing a residential building were in use of fall protection exposing the employees to a fall hazard of more than 6 feet to the ground below. Perales Construction Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501 (b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314931635, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/07/2011, with respect to a workplace located at 3440 NW 172nd Street, Edmond, Oklahoma 73012.
