OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing/fall hazards associated with the inadvertent movement of trailers while loading and unloading trailers with powered industrial trucks: (a) Dock 27 at 345 Rocus St Springfield: On or about November 18, 2013, an employee was injured when a trailer body he was loading with a powered industrial truck was driven away from the dock, causing the PIT and its driver to fall between the trailer body and the dock. Steps had not been taken to prevent or minimize the unintentional movement of trailers during loading and unloading operations: Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
