29 CFR 1926.416(e)(1): Worn or frayed electric cords or cables were used: (a) On or about May 6, 2014, Weatherguard Construction, Inc., as controlling employer, did not ensure employees of Pedro Pablo Ramirez, subcontractor, were protected from electrical hazards by allowing them to use an extension cord with insulation that was ripped exposing the colored conductors inside in several locations along the length of the cord.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(8): The employer did not ensure that Safety Data Sheets were readily accessible during each work shift to employees when they were in their work area(s): (a) On or about May 6, 2014, the Weatherguard Construction, Inc., as the controlling employer, did not ensure employees of Pedro Pablo Ramirez, subcontractor, had access to information regarding the hazards of GenFlex Roofing Systems EPDM Bonding Adhesive and the precautions to take while working around the chemical, in that the safety data sheets were not provided upon request. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet").
