29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) Roof Area: On May 9, 2014 and at times prior, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet to the ground below while installing shingles on a 5/12 pitch roof.
