29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(b) or (c): (a)Linear Plumbing of Denver, LLC at 10569 Chambers Road, Commerce City, CO 80022: On and before April 24th, 2014, the exposing employer did not ensure that the employee conducting work in the sewer line excavation was protected from cave-in, in that the excavation was 7 feet deep and did not have a protective system. The trench excavation was approximately 17 feet long by 8 feet wide and lacked a protective system, such as appropriate sloping, benching, or shield system. This condition exposed the employee to a crushing hazard by excavation wall cave-in.
