29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a). on or about 05/15/14, on the fourth floor of 1-50 50th Ave. Long Island City, NY Employees walking/working on the 4th floor were not protected from falling. The employee fell approximately 15 ft. to the side walk bridge at the exterior of the north side building. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
