29 CFR 1926.502(h)(1)(v): The safety monitor had other responsibilities which could take the monitor's attention from the monitoring function: Jobsite located at 130 N. Topeka, Ave., Wichita, KS; employees engaged in roofing work were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 30 feet from the edge of the roof to the ground. While using a drill, the monitor was turned away from the employees working at the edge of the roof.

29 CFR 1926.502(g)(1)(i): When control lines are used, they shall be erected not less than 6 feet (1.8 m) nor more than 25 feet (7.7 m) from the unprotected or leading edge, except when erecting precast concrete members: Jobsite located at 130 N. Topeka Ave., Wichita, KS; the warning line was erected approximately 5 feet from the unprotected edge of the roof near the southwest corner.
