29 CFR 1910.217(c)(1)(i): It shall be the responsibility of the employer to provide and insure the usage of "point of operation guards" or properly applied and adjusted point of operation devices on every operation performed on a mechanical power press. See Table O-10. a) In the Press Side, on line RY-3, the point of operation of the Komatsu Press #6, Model OBS-150-5, serial # 13303, was not guarded in that the light curtain had malfunctioned, thus exposing employees to a caught-in/struck-by hazard.
