29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training as specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2) and (3) on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard was introduced in the work area: a) Vantage Custom Classics Inc.., Avenel, NJ site: Screen Print Department: Employees were not provided information/training on the handling of hazardous chemicals used within the facility. Employees work with chemicals such as, but not limited to the following: -100% Aliphatic Hydrocarbons contained in Base Oil, -60%-70% 1-Bromopropane, 30%-40% tert-Butyl Acetate, 0%-1% 1,2-Epoxybutane contained in S.P.I.F. II, - Thiourea dioxide contained in Magnaprint Activator M, -etc. Condition noted on/or about May 22, 2014. Vantage Custom Classics Inc. was previously cited for a serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 899792, Citation #1, Item #6b, issued on June 13, 2013 with respect to the workplace located at 100 Vantage Drive, Avenel, NJ 07001 and became final order on June 26, 2013.
