29 CFR 1910.213(d)(1): Circular handfed crosscut table saw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut:      (a) Wood Department;  The employer did not ensure that the Delta table saw was equipped with a guard. Employees were exposed to the 10" blade while cutting wood.    (b) Wood Department;  The employer did not ensure that the KUFO table saw was equipped with a guard. Employees were exposed to the blade while cutting wood.

OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to explosion hazards and sharp particles flying in the air:    a) Wood Department - Employees were exposed to flying plastic projectile hazards due to possible mechanical failure of the plastic polyvinyl chloride (PVC) piping system used to transport compressed air, exposing employees to serious physical hazards which could result in lacerations to the body and damage to the eyes resulting in hospitalization.    Levent Industries, Inc. DBA Architectural Brass was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 314640129, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 2/24/12, with respect to a workplace located at 1130 D.L. Hollowell Pkwy., Atlanta, GA.
