29 CFR 1926.304(f): All woodworking tools and machinery did not meet other applicable requirements of American National Standards Institute, 01.1-1961, Safety Code for Woodworking Machinery: (a) Front Parking Lot - on or about May 29, 2014 - the Ridgid 10" table saw, Model# AC9930, serial# 01220F1384, was not equipped with a spreader to prevent material from squeezing the saw blade. ANSI 01.1-1961 Woodworking Machinery: 4.1.2(b); Spreaders. Each hand-fed circular rip saw shall be furnished with a spreader to prevent material from squeezing the saw or thrown back at the operator. (b) Front Parking Lot - on or about May 29, 2014 - the Ridgid 10" table saw, Model# AC9930, serial# 01220F1384, was not equipped with an anti-restart switch be prevent automatic restart. ANSI 01.1-1961 Woodworking Machinery: 3.1.3(c); Machine Control. On applications where injury to the operator might result if motors were to restart after power failures, provisions shall be made to prevent machines from automatically restarting upon restoration of power.
