29 CFR 1926.651(i)(1): Where the stability of adjoining buildings, walls, or other structures is endangered by excavation operations, support systems such as shoring, bracing, or underpinning shall be provided to ensure the stability of such structures for the protection of employees. Location: 920 SR 35, Eaton, OH a: On or about 19 May, 2014 employees were working in excavation that undermined an active road surface with no form of bracing or shoring in place to support the roadway and maintain its stability.

29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation shall be protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section. Location: 920 SR 35, Eaton, OH a: On or about 19 May, 2014 employees were working in an excavation that measured 8 feet 8 inches deep and was not protected from cave-in by some form of protective system. Prograde Excavation LLc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313469507, citation number 1 , item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 11/25/09, with respect to a workplace located at Corner of Somers and Wayne Ave, Eaton, OH.
