1926.652(a)(1)   29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Employees in an excavation were not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section:    a) Meadows at Platte Valley: On or about May 23, 2014, and at times prior, Rand Construction Corp, as a controlling employer, did not ensure that Fairwind Properties, LLC, protected their employees when three workers were exposed to cave-in hazards as they performed work in a 7.4 feet deep excavation in Class B soil with side wall slopes of 49 and 56 degrees.       Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
