This hood or shield shall be so designed as to guard against danger from flying splinters or broken saw teeth. a. In the pallet recovery warehouse, employees were exposed to an amputation hazard, in that, the self adjusting guard on single end power feed trim saw #1 was held open by a 3 inch piece of wood leaving the blade exposed during operation, on or about 06/06/2014.
