29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): There existed damaged parts that could have adversely affected the safe operation or mechanical strength of electrical equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating. On or about 4 June 2014, and at times prior thereto, employees working in the processing chute area utilized a branding iron that had damage to the electrical cord both along the length of the cord and at the cord's connection to the iron, exposing the employees to an electrical hazard of approximately 120 volts.
