29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided: (a)Hayes Construction Layout Inc., at 3234 Navajo St., Denver, CO 80211: On June 6, 2014 the employer did not ensure the employee was protected from injury, in that the employee was laying out lines for walls on a wood frame residential construction without the use of fall protection. This condition exposed the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 50 feet.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards: (a)Hayes Construction Layout Inc., at 3234 Navajo St., Denver, CO 80211: The employer did not ensure that each employee engaged in residential construction activities had been trained to recognize the hazards associated with working at elevations over 6'. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. The employee working on-site had not received fall protection training before working at elevations over 6 feet. This condition exposed employees to the hazard of falling from an elevation of approximately 50 feet.
