Natural and synthetic fiber rope slings shall be immediately removed from service if any of the following conditions are present such as broken or cut fibers:   On or about June 5, 2014, in the fabrication shop, the employees were using a 3 foot wide synthetic fiber sling that was severely cut and frayed, exposing employees to the hazard of being struck by the load.
