Employees were observed using pneumatic nail guns to nail (asphalt) shingles without safety eye-wear or facial protection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems or personal fall arrest systems:        On or about 06/05/2014 during roofing activities, employee(s) installing asphalt shingles on an apartment building located at 5980 Marine Parkway in Mentor, OH without fall protection, were exposed to a fall hazard from a height of approximately 9 (+) feet.
