29 CFR 1910.176(a): Where mechanical handling equipment was used, sufficient safe clearances were not allowed for aisles, at loading docks, through doorways or wherever turns or passage had to be made: On the ramp of the West Assembly Building also known as "Hot Dock": The employer is failing to ensure that mechanical equipment such as but not limited to sit down forklifts, stand up forklifts and golf carts have sufficient safe clearances for maneuvering. The employer allowed for "Hot Parts" to be stored/ staged along the East side ramp of the West Assembly Building "Hot Dock" and empty pallets and other no essential items which impede travel along the ramp.

29 CFR 1910.178(n)(1): A safe distance of approximately three truck lengths between trucks was not maintained: On the ramp located at the West Assembly Building: The employer is failing to ensure that safe distances are maintained between fork trucks operated in the facility. On or about May 6, 2014 an operator of a Crown stand up forklift Model# RC5535-35 was injured by the forks of a Hyster sit-down Model# H50FT being driven by another employee. The Hyster forklift was within 3 truck lengths.
